Attend a Luau
A visit to Hawaii would not be complete without attending
a traditional Hawaiian luau (feast). Paradise Cove and the
Polynesian Cultural Center both have luaus and are equally
enjoyable. At a luau, you can expect an extensive menu with

Polynesian Cultural Center
Visit the different islands of Polynesia in this one
park and enjoy the exhibits, performances, and activities
of each. Explore the islands of Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, the
Marquesas, Fiji, Easter Island, Aotearoa (Maori New Zealand)
and of course, Hawaii!

Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve
Go snorkeling or scuba diving and see the magical world
below the ocean inside of this sunken volcanic crater. Over
450 species of tropical fish can be seen here such as the
endangered green sea turtle and the colorful tropical fish
such as the milletseed butterfly fish, Moorish idols, puffer
fish, angelfish, and much, much more. This area is also home
to the Hawaii state fish, the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. |

Wildside Tours: Visit the Dolphins & See the Whales
Take a four hour tour out onto the ocean to see the
dolphins, turtles, whales (seasonal) and more! On this tour,
you will ride out on a catamaran (twin hulls to make it stable
and a high perch to spot whales from). It is not unusual for
a pod of spinner dolphins to accompany the catamaran on its
tour and if you're lucky, maybe you'll see a humpback whale
with her baby!

Walk down Waikiki
Waikiki Beach is known as the playground for the rich
and famous. Each year, over 4 million tourists visit this
famous 2-mile stretch of Oahu’s coastline. Warm and
gentle waters make it ideal for swimming and surfing lessons
as well as snorkeling, cruises, boat rides, and more. With
Diamond Head Crater rising up at one end, the Ala Wai yacht
harbor at the other, and a background of skyscrapers, you
will never tire of the scenery both in the daytime and at
night. You will also find here island-style shopping in shopping
centers and individual stores as well as art galleries, art
studios, and restaurants with cuisine from all over the world.

Hike up Diamond Head Crater
Take a 1.4-mile round-trip hike to see the southwestern
coastline from the top of the extinct volcano's crater. This
360 degree panoramic view is spectacular and definitely worth
seeing! Be sure to bring a flashlight and water.

USS Arizona Memorial
Over half of the casualties from the surprise air attack
on Pearl Harbor on the morning of December 7, 1941, came from
the sinking of this battleship. See the oil droplets that
are still bubbling to the surface from the battleship and
read the names of those lives lost carved into the Memorial.
An interpretive program and documentary film is followed by
a short ride via Navy shuttle across Pearl Harbor to the Arizona
Memorial. |

Visit the Kualoa Ranch
The Kualoa Ranch is a 4000-acre working cattle ranch
situated in the northern half of the Ka'a'awa Valley and the
southern half of Hakipu Valley with a 800-year-old Moil'i
fishpond, and Secret Island offshore. Established in 1850,
the ranch is famous for its numerous activities and for being
the movie sets for the movies Jurassic Park, Mighty Joe Young,
Pearl Harbor, and Windtalkers. Horseback riding on the trails,
ranch and movie set tours, shooting at the gun range, and
riding ATVs are just a few of the things you can do here! |

Bishop Museum and Planetarium
Founded in 1889 by Charles Reed bishop in honor of his
late wife, Princess Pauahi, the last descendant of the Royal
Kamehameha family, the museum features rare artifacts and
exhibits on the Hawaii and Pacific history. There is no better
place than here to learn about the Hawaiian culture and rich,
colorful history.

Dole Plantation & World's Largest Maze
See the pineapple gardens featuring 21 varieties of
pineapple and try out the maze which is the largest in the
world according to the 2001 Guinness Book of World Records.
Visit the store and taste pineapple ice cream, pineapple floats,
and other delightful concoctions!
